Got some goodies

Post by Northern ANdy »

Been getting some bits for the bike today:

Full micron SS with carbon can
Clock bracket
Mirror stay
Bottom end
Front and rear discs
Two lower fairings
Two rear fairings
Various wee brackets
Hoover tube upper
wee little airbox bungs

Things of that nature. Looking forward to spending some time on it.

hey Rob, be glad that your bike came with those iridium bulbs. I've just parted with £25 ex. VAT for a pair of 55/60 watts.

Also got those gauges on order

Not entirely sure what type they are, they came with the bike. I think they are cos as you say when you look at them they arent all one colour.

To add to that workshop article, the headlight i bought for my 7R had some in that were the wrong fitting, the previous owner just bent the tags up and hey presto, saves cutting etc...

Talkin about bulbs, the HID xenon headlight kits for bikes are a ripoff the car ones at halfords are the same and about a third of the price. Just incase anyone was thinking of upgrading.

The trouble with having an open mind, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

sorry still not a fan of the twin rear lights! But why have you bought an LEd rear light and the undertray with lights in? Or are you cutting that bit off?

the crosser is my cr250.

I love the undertray and the lights look good against a black bike, they deffinitely wouldn't look good against a white bike. My intention was to cut the undertray to fit the clear one in as you say Rob.

I spent ages last night playing with brackets to move the rear light further forwards, I hate how it stick out so far.

I do like the LED light, but if I fit that it WILL be moved forward. Don't really want to just put it in a box and have it sitting there doing nothing.

Its a toughy

You could always ebay it, got something back if you decide not to fit it. I agree tho those shotgun lights on the undertray look alot better on a black bike, but its still like saying ralf schumacher is better looking than michael. :smt003

Shouldnt be that hard to move it forward, just dril some extra holes in the mounting bracket?
