Post by lindaloo »

Well ive done it again, went out on my baby yesterday, all was well till i got home. Putting the bike away, i didnt see the dip in the path full of mud, put my foot down and slip!! :smt010
Me on my butt again,....luckily the bike fell into fence so i didnt get squashed, but put a major crack in fairing :smt009
Bruised ego,arm and hurt my back but luckily no one around to see me!
Hopefully last time that will happen :smt003

Last time i dropped a bike it was 900RR, swung foot over seat, lifted bike off stand and put stand up, went to walk it backwards and my right foot slipped on a bit of gravel, bike went down on the inside of my knee and dislocated it. That hurt, and i couldnt go anywhere cuz i was stuck. Neighbours eventually came outside after what felt like an hour(probably only 30 secs or so though) and lifted bike off and got me and ambulance.

So moral of the story is if it's goin over, let it go :P

The trouble with having an open mind, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

I had something similar on my crosser when it went down on the ice!

I moved a tiny amount to pick the bike up off me, and the spokes caught my foot, slamming it against the rear shocks!

I'm sure the 22-odd hp would have snapped my leg like a twig if it wasn't for the plasteel ankle-brace thingy on my Sidi Vertebra Race Evo II (crikey that's a mouthful!) boots!

I need new boots now, but after that incident I can't bring myself to even consider anything without that kind of ankle protection...
