Frikkin Rad's Gone Now!!!

Post by Jamz »

So within one bloody week, I've had to ride through nearly 3ft of floodwater - which has made my front calipers pistons go stiffer than a teenager in the Playboy Mansion, also puncturing my rear tyre with a screw, and this morning my piggin' radiator's sprung a leak! :smt013

Never mind the few hours I spent last night carefully re-applying the duct tape that holds my rear fairing together, after my mate ran into the back of me a while back.

There's one day this weekend forcast to be sunny (Saturday), and that WOULD be the day I'd have to spend sorting it all out.... if my mechanic wasn't buggering off to Brands Hatch! :smt019

I'm blaming it all on God, and intend to write a letter of complaint so that we can at least get some kind of Summer on the go. :smt011

Anyone have his email or PO Box number? :?

I always vowed I'd never buy a boring old Honda...

Now on my 3rd VFR750 and... have to... admit.... can't.... fault them! :smt011 :smt009

As an update to this, by the time I got to Baz and Gemini in the pub after work, the leak had stopped. :smt017

I stripped it down (side and top fairings all have to come off to get to the rad cap - which also means mirrors and screen...) put some of the new Rad Weld in anyway just to be sure.

There was a tiny leak after a blast, then nothing since.

It's either fixed itself, or the deep floodwater I went through had disloged the last lot I used, and what was left in the rad sealed it again!
