Furthest travelled on a ZXR400??

just wondering what the furthest anyone has travelled on a zxr400?? me and my mate are thinking of going up to scotland, and wondered if the bikes would be ok??

An (ex) mate of mine has been all over Europe on his, two up. No problems whatsoever.

I have done 300 miles + days on them.

Absolutely rock steady, very reliable bike.
zxr400 h2 (breaking)
zzr1100c3 (broken)
Vespa et4 (almost broken)

did 8 hours solid riding on mine with no problems.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

when you were riding for so long did you vairy the revs or just stay steady?

make sure you do the obvious stuff like tyre pressures, fluid levels, chain adjusted and lubed.

beyond that, don't worry about the bike. it will keep rolling a lot longer than you do!

varied mate we went out with a local riding school all round the welsh valleys believe me it was varied revving, would have been better on a crosser :smt003 but there and back we were out for 8 hours approx, that includes stopping for lunch, it was a tiring day and it was a steady ride as the group included newcomers to biking too so we all had to compromise.

i've done about 400 miles in one day, lots motorway miles, genraly 10k revs (100mph odd) she did fine. And was wide awake for work the next day started first time off the button,
ZXR750 L1
tail tidy, polished bits, custom paint job, k&n, dynojet, Full akropovik, down geared, GSXR calipers, hel brake lines front and rear & clutch line, maxtron resprung froks 120BHP
