MOT test criteria
As some of you know my bike was smashed up in acrash 3 months ago by some p**** in a corrolla! well im eager to get back and ride it, and have since stripped, cleaned, rebuilt the carbs, lubed the cables and patched the altenator cover hole. the MOT expired yesterday. i need to get it sorted so i can get my freedom back and get back to work. So far i no that it will fail on the fact my right fork is leaking and that the right handlebar jus makes contact with the frame. wots the criteria in regards to mirrors, i was told they are not compulsary. i only have 1 mirror i think that i may have to glue on. also wot bout the fairings, mine are cracked but intact would it fail if they were taped or glued together? my tacho is also smashed and covered wit tape for safety.

Re: MOT test criteria
have a look here http://www.ukmot.com/bike_index.asp it should answer any questions, i'm sure as they were originally fitted (mirrors) they have to be present and fixed securely. the bar touching your frame will be a failure as it could crush your hand in an impact, your tacho is ok but they may put an advisory about it being damaged which is illegal to use on the road and the police will pick you up in no time.
