Another hobby on the cards

Post by CarneyUK »

I'll be going away for a couple of weeks. :smt006

I have a new hobby that I will be starting (as long as it doesn't get in the way of the bikes!!)

I'm off on a 2 week Skydiving course at Netherhavon just up the road from me. Half of me is well up for it but the other half is sh!£ing itself. I'll let you all now how it went when I return. Hope the weather stays good for the jumps AND the biking!!!

I saw a blue ZXR400 at the Skydive centre a few weeks ago so will let him/her know about the site if they don't already.

I always meant to do it, but my mate found out he was over the 14 stone limit so it got cancelled...

Think he might be under it now and I'm still up for it, but I think I'm going to try my hand at a few rock climbing courses first, now.

You got a Blue ZXR400?

I done my first 2 static line jumps today...........F&%KING AWESOME!!!!! It was bloody scary when you first look out at 3500ft, but once you have jumped it's an awesome feeling. :smt003

So I have done 120mph horizontaly.....now all I need to do is get to freefall and do 120mph vertically.....BRING IT ON!! :smt003 :smt003 :smt003

Good luck on the bike test!!!

I past my test today........did my first freefall after 6.......yes 6 jumps on static. Did 2 good jumps on static, then 3 good dummy pulls then went solo!!

The instructor reckons I've jumped before but I haven't. Was absoloutly crapping myself but got it right (wouldn't be here if I hadn't :smt003 ) We've got one more week on course so should get to Cat 6.....he reckons he's gonna try and get me cat 8? Don't realy care coz I love it!!!!

carney, nice one! that must have been a fab day!

cat 8 is wicked, it means you are a gnats bits from getting qualified as a solo skydiver, which is quite obviously wicked!

superman, BASE would be a wicked rush. but it's highly recommended that you are damn good at certain skydiving skills first!
