just been browsing the old ebay as you do and came across the listing for vintage computers, and boy there's some old ones there, zx80, zx81 spectrum, orics, acorns atari 800xl, what's the oldest pc you remember and what have you had? what was your first? including consoles?
me
my first pc was a Tandy TRS80 colour computer with 16k memory, had it for xmas and it didn't work so took it back and they gave me a 32k memory for no extra charge! and full 16 colours
had a Atari 2600 console when they rereleased them without the wooden surround which i bought with my first pay from my paper round.
stuck with that for a bit then when i got my first job i splashed out on the all singing/dancing Atari 520 ST brand new with my first wage slip :big grin:
after that i moved onto a Olivetti 286 PC now we're talking then started building pcs when the 486DX came out and just upgraded and upgraded.

First had the wooden Atari which was strictly my dads, but got the 2600 for christmas one year. Then got a Sega mastersystem 1, then had a NES. Few years after got an Amiga 500+ Had that for ages! Also got a Game Boy, my bro had the handheld Sega Game Gear. then i think we got our first PC in 1996 or so, a Packard Bell with a 200MHz processor and 32MB of RAM, top of the range in its time, well at least for 5 minutes i guess. Not bought another desktop since, much prefer laptops as im not too bothered about upgrading. As for fun i have my Nintendo DS Lite which i play Brain Training on
I work in the computer industry and I have built more computers than I have had hot dinners
I still come across some old clapped out machines at my work as we need them for Developing software and testing on them.
