hey, how much would you pay for a ZXR 400, 1991 relativley good condition, had to be bumpstarted when i went on the back.
i have looked on ebay but they seem to be few and far between. ive got my test in 2 weeks so will be looking for a bike. it just so happens this bike is available now, oh, its got 23,000 miles on it.

Re: advice?
Hey Aiden and welcome to the forum. If its gotta be bump started its not a good impression to me. But could just be a flat battery!
Use that to your advantage and knock them down loads. Personally i think its better to buy a bike that works well to start with than a shitter that needs money putting into it. But price wise and this time of year i wouldnt pay more than about 800 quid for a bike that needs bump starting. Is it otherwise in good condition?

Re: advice?
yes, new fairing all round, full respray, tyres have done 300 or so miles. the bike had been stood for a long time though. he said that hes going to put a new battery in it. it did start the second time round no problems half way through the journey.
cheers

Ahh righto, if its been standing then battery was probably just flat. Why did he respray it?
Sounds good otherwise

Re: advice?
tbf theres not loads of zxr's out there that havent been down the road or used all year round. If you want spotless then you need to up your price bracket ALOT. Personaly have no problems with buying a crashed bike as long as its been looked after and repaired properly (and not asking silly money)
