First proper ride of the year - anyone else out today?

Post by deviant »

Got the ZXR out today for a blast up towards the peak district. First time out for it in 2008 (I've been commuting on the GPZ). Good couple of hours playing on the B-roads, surprisingly good road conditions apart from the odd patch of mud.

Here's Sarah (mrs deviant) and the bikes on the B5023, waiting for the slow muppet in the BMW X5 to bugger off a few miles up the road.

[edit: this is where we went]

Anyone else got out for a play today?

i had my first day of A2 training today, racked up 100 or so miles on the little CG. and although there was a lack of grunt and handling it went pretty well. roads were nice, weather was nice, bike was shite, riding was good. just got tomorrow then the test on tuesday.
cheers

Continuing on... anyone out today? It's like a cool summers day round here (Maidstone). It won't be long til I can crank out the summer gloves again!

Have a good ride people.

Yeah I never made it on the road either; sorted my exhaust problems for a mere 21p only to discover my rear tyre is bald, my chain is shagged. I knew they were getting low, but I wanted to spend the money on a new exhaust. Well, 'she' has spoken, so I must obey...

I picked up a ZX9-R yesterday morning, and got dragged around muddy, wet country lanes by Gem and Baz to 'ease' me back into things! :smt005

Other than that I've had an absoute giraffe of a headache (probably because I haven't been taking my painkillers), so I went for a quick blast today to McShits and back, and didn't even do a lap of The Cloverleaf because it was damp and I'm still scared of corners. :smt009

Good to step away from the Honda darkside of sensibleness and back into the searing light of the ZXR World! :smt003 It should be a good year!
