MOT tomorrow afternoon!

Post by Vard66 »

Wish me luck folks! My only real worry is the light level.

GOOD, GOOD, GOOD LUCK :excited

If you ask nicely they might adjust it for you there and then.

My plan, if they need adjusting, is simply to take out the screws, put some glue in the hole, let it set, then drive the screws back in on a slightly different angle... You see, where the headlight mounts were made out of fibreglass before, when I dropped it, they broke off, so it's not the most immediately adjustable of mountings right now...

Woot.

Spectrum Is Green!

Passed without much worry - only thing needed doing to pass her was alignment of the back wheel after we put the new tyre on yesterday, and whacked the wheel in last night.

Dead chuffed, now I just gotta get a few miles on that BT-92 to scrub her in nicely, though I have to say it's given me nothing but confidence so far, and it tipped it down earlier, so I'm pretty impressed.

MOT tester's comments on the bike; - 'Don't see many of these about, hm? Not the Four hundred. She's pretty tidy for her age, really, isn't she?'

Nowhere near as tidy as I'd like, I think of her as a bit scruffy atm, but if that's tidy, then it can only go up from here!

Vard is mobile, and God I'd forgotten how much fun the ZXR is. :smt003

Indeed, rather than the unsure spatterings of rain and sun we recieved today...

Made a bit of a tit of myself again earlier. I forgot which way the fuel tap goes to reserve on the ZXR.

I thought it was Off - On - Reserve. Nope. On - Off - Reserve. So I ran out of fuel. Just... after I met up with all the folks I was going to the cinema with, some of whom this was my first impression of.

Great, now I look a pillock.

Still going like a beast, though, despite my worries and my idiocy. I honestly though I had a problem, but no, yet again the ZXR proves her worth. Bugger me but I love this bike.
