Complaint? What Should I Do??

Post by Jamz »

I have a problem at the moment...

I've always had loud bus bassy cans on my bikes. My neighbours have never complained, but I leave for work around 08:30 or later - in fact one Old Dear a few doors up has told people she loves the sound of my bike and always listens out for when I leave and arrive! :smt002

The problem is at my girlfriends flat. Leaving at the same time, a few times some Bint in the downstairs flat I park up next to has stuck her face out the window and glared at me.

What she hoped to achieve against a blue iridium tinted visor I never found out before she slammed the window shut. Hmm.

So the other Saturday at 11am I started up to go somewhere, and Bint opens the window again and says "Will you PLEASE stop doing that!!!" then slams the window again.

:smt017

Now, as I'm aware she's probably flipping out about my bike, I start up and leave as soon as the bike will physically work, so this latest one was odd.

Did she mean stop starting the fucking bike before I ride it?

Should I ignore the Camel and start and leave the bike to warm up nicely as I do anywhere else? Or maybe get 20 mates with open pipes to meet me one morning to show her what she's missing?

Or should I just go and bash her back doors in? :smt013

Other points of note is that for an hour before I leave, hundreds of school kids come squealing and shouting past Bints window heading to the school next to the flat, and every Sat and Sun whistles and shouting start from 8am on the playing field 10 yards from Bints window for hours on end. :smt009

I was seriously considering stangulation of the non-erotic kind as a solution, but it appears her boyfriend is Thor from the film 'A Night On the Town'. :smt003

He is the only reason I haven't shown her what revving it really sounds like lol!

Rather sadly if she choses to call the coppers and they can be bothered to come out then you might find yourself with a fine and points for a loud exhaust.

Probably the only reason why she shouts out the window aswell, bitch knows she has back up.

If she calls the plod then it depends how busy they are, but I think you will find possible asbo type stuff for distrubing the peice, if the can is illegal then possible points. Pretty much nowadays your fecked any time of the day!!

You could always buy a tazer, start the bike up, rev it as loud as you can, then tazer Thor as he comes running out. The bigger they are the more it hurts, muscles and that :pmsl

she can do nothing about it, and you should just ignore her.

Don't even look at her when she shouts at you, or acknowledge her existence. Just keep visor down, carry on with your routine and get on with it.

If she doesn't like it, she can move out.

I ended up moving out of a great flat because some inconsiderate C&^ts moved in upstairs and had loud bass playing at silly o'clock all night every night I'm talking till 2-3am? Contaminated the recycling bins, left mud in the communal hallway carpet, I was pissed off cos I had been there about 4 years and the previous residents were really nice.

Ohh, they got theirs when I moved out.
I had a 3 week switchover from the old place to the new place, moved into the new place in a day, then took up all the parking spaces with my friends' cars and traveller vans, had some mates who are now hippy- travellers stay in there 24/7 playing a plethora of music that would piss anyone off after a while
They hawk-eyed out the window and whenever anyone came down the stairs, they went silent for a couple of seconds before bursting out in laughter.
Also took to opening the front door as the chaps came down and told him to be quiet, convinced them they were the new residents and invited them in for a satanic ritual or a daily seance.

If it were me, and i used to do this when i worked earlies as a postman, was to put the baffle in till it was warm and then take it out just as i was ready to leave. I think thats the best possible solution because your making an effort not to upset anyone and if you do have the police set upon you, you can be shown to making an effort and they cant do you for a loud pipe if it has baffles in. If she still complains of the noise then she is just being akward about it.

Love the stare out in a blue irridium visor, made me chickle that :smt003
