carb probs,

Post by lewisdale »

after so long of messing around and finally getting my bike running i took it out today and as soon as it got to 6000 rpm it started splutterin so i took it home and stripped the carbs and cleaned them, took the bike back out and it was still doing it so i gave it a good thrash and it seemed to clear out, then i pulled up at traffic lights and it died, i then realised it was pouring petrol out of the overflow pipe, and wouldnt start? help lol,its really starting to piss me off

What happened to you at the weekend anyway mate? I waited in for ya! Would have gotten all that sorted if you came. Does sound like the float heights are to blame, possibly assembled them wrong or bent the tangs when cleaning it all out.
