cam carrier change?
the po had snapped the thread on the number 4 inlet cam carrier, not any that hold the carrier on,its the one that the valve cover screws down on to..now,can i get another carrier and put it straight on,or are they machined to said head(like i think they are,in which case its a no go!)..at the moment ive araldited a standard cover screw with rubber seal on and it doesnt leak oil from gasket,so should i leave it,or will another carrier go straight on?...cheers

Re: cam carrier change?
they are line bored from new , so matched to the head , you might be lucky and get away with a different one I have once but it took a lot of plastic gauge and engineers blue , and bearing scraping to get it right or pay for some one to line bore it again ,or just leave it till it leaks lol
