Removing the Rockers

Post by mingmingmo »

hey guys.
im just in the middle of striping down my engine but found that if i take the rockers out straight away then the springs etc will just drop into th eengine.
i wernt sure if there was anything that i could do that would make it easier to remove without droping everything int o the engine and making a massive mess.

Never throw out old socks or T-shirts!
You might want to get yourself one of those magnet on a stick thingies too.
There's no substitute for cubes!

I never do, they always go straight into the 'rag box' in my shed :smt003

Although sometimes i feel guilty because poor little Ishmal in Africa could probably do with my holed socks and t-shirts :smt010

i just pulled the rocker shaft out slowly, plucking out the springs out one by one with the other hand and depositing them in a tub next to the engine.
