snapped spark plug

riding home from work tonight dropped it down to over take a car then it just went flat and sounded like the exhaust had come loose. slowly got it home took it apart and found number 2 spark plug had snapped completely off leaving the threads in the barrel. with a bit of luck managed to get the rest out. without taking the head off. how many zxr owners have had this problem

this has cropped up a few times lately, how did you remove the threaded bit?

with a stud extractor in a socket on a long extension bar ans a little bit of luck it came out

and did you check where the postion of the piston waS when you did this and how much fell into the bore??

i made sure the piston was at the bottom and no bits fell in. it runs a lot better now all 4 spark plugs are working
