Help, i have been told that i remove this gasket without too much trouble. I'm changing my head gasket and will remove it if it breaks but hope not to.

you can safely rebuild the engine without the base gasket, it'll increase compression a tad, you will need to use high temp silicon sealant in place of it though.
if rebuilding with the base gasket its best to renew it rather than re-use it though, i guess you could use sealer but they aint expensive.
