Head Gasket

Hi,

Ive got a zxr400 h2 and it is filling up the water reservoir with water from the rad and this is then flowing out of the overflow, guessing this is a head gasket problem and it is pressurising the water and sending it into the reservoir? Im not overly technical so any advice as to whether this is the problem or any other ideas would be great, thanks.

Do/get someone to do a compression test.

is the oil creamy? any signs of oil in the water? what does the temperature say?

Whats the water level in the expansion bottle? If its inbetween the max an min then theres no way it should spill out unless its doing as you think and pressurising and pumping it all out. sometimes water will overflow from the rad into the bottle through expansion of the water but wont spill out unless it was overfilled to start with.

Compression test is the first step, that will give a clear indication of whats what
