L Model Brake Pad Fitments

As I've been looking into which pads are currently available for the ZXR400L I thought I'd post up what I've found in case it is of future help to others. There was a guide in Practical Sportsbikes issue 6, so here are the options and the pad no.s you need to order -

EBC - Front: FA180HH; Rear: FA161HH
Ferodo - Front: FDB741; Rear: FDB338
Carbone Lorraine - Front: 2363 XBK5; Rear: 2282 RX3
Vesrah - Front: VD-433JL; Rear: VD-327/2JL

And, of course, OEM Tokico pads are still available from Cradleys etc.

These are all shown for 91-95 bikes. Not sure why they have not gone beyond 1995 but I believe that the pad sizes did not change through the entire L range, so the above should fit anything. These sizes do not apply to H models.

I've got some Carbon Lorraines in my 600 and I hate to admit they are impressive................impressively expensive too

Yes, I recall you saying that in a previous post and it got me thinking. The Ferodos don't seem to me to be the top pads they do, and they don't seem to do their top pads for the ZXR. I'm sure they used to but think on it's 15 years since I bought a set for mine. So I was thinking about giving those Carbone Lorraines a go. Don't mind paying if they deliver.
