How close is your gear lever to the shift rod ?

I'm looking at a quick shifter unit but the manufacturer of the unit has advised me that my gear lever and rod are very close together and the pressure sensor may snag and will hinder gear shifts from lack of clearance

Maybe my lever is bent ?

How does yours sit ??

my two zxr's both look like this, both are on standard levers/rods.
