New Indicators?

Post by Jonnyboy »

Hi all,

Went to halfords tother day, got some redex!!

Also bought some "Universal" oval indicators, however have not tried fitting them yet, have checked the wiring diragram for my ZXR (1991 H reg L1 or L2 not sure) and noticed that the standered spec indicators are 12V and 21W, the "Universal Indicators i have bought are 12V and 23W. Are they going to affect my bike if i fit them, will the extra wattage suck all the power out of my battery or will they work ok??
Don't wanna fit them if i'm going to unravel a whole saga of electrical problems, has anyone else updated their indicators, which brand make or Voltage and Wattage did anyone else use??

PS redex done its job, well reccomended!

Obviously we are all using 12V indicators, the wattage difference of 2 whole watts isn't going to make a difference to the battery, but it might affect the flash rate.

Simple test, plug them in before you fit them, if all is good fit them.
