Acumen DG8 LC Gear Indicator

Just a few words for anyone thinking of fitting one of these.
I fitted the speedo upgrade using a magnet in each of the 5 front disc-fixing Allen Bolts. Then fitted the Acumen ... Result ... incredible frustration trying and failing to train the bloody thing ... would only (eventually) find 5 gears.
On Acumen's advise (they were very helpful) I went to a lot of extra trouble to take the tacho inpulse off the pickup coil instead of the gauge... result ... even worse ... would only register 4 gears.
Next step, stuck an extra 5 magnets between the existing ones using silcoset 158 ... RESULT.
I no longer try to find 7th gear .... and it's a lovely matching lime green.
