my battery voltage is 17v when the engine is running, is this normal, any help much appreciated

sounds a bit high to me, but check the manual on the mian site, it will have it in there.

yup, defo' too high - 15.2V is it's top limit

Make sure your volt meter is accurate & or test with another unit - the volt meter on my bike reads too high so tested with hand meter and it was fine.
Nothing worse than having an H and not being able to scratch it !
