Okay the zxr is being fixed 2moz and when it over heated with the clutch i swear the fan didnt come on, and i was wondering how i can test this, the previous owner put a switch oon it but does this mean hes just removed the termostat part and just made it into a switch. how can i test if the termostat isde of it works and how far up the tempo guage should the needle be before the fan kicks in? its a h1 model if thats any different.

Topic is a bit old but ill share my experience with the fan, firstly when i bought the bike there was a switch to the fan, connected by the fans connector block. My fan wouldnt work other than when using the switch, i soon found out there was little water so i filled with coolant and the fan works. Then fan should come on just before half way, well it does on mine. Hope that helps u or anyone else
