zxr400 clocks

Post by ZX4R-F3 »

Hi all, i have fitted zxr400 clocks to my 1988 zx400 and wanted to know if the rev counter will give a true reading as it is electronic, everything else on clocks works fine.
Thank you.

Sorry but know idea ???

One way to see if they are acurate is if you know how your old rev counter read at specific speeds in specific gears eg:

Sitting at 5,000 rpm in top the bike is doing 80MPH

With engines and pick-up being the same I guess you"ll get the right reading.

Thank you Mori man, unfortunately i don't have the original clocks picked the bike up with no plastics, lights or clocks, currently stripping it down and rebuilding.
Would post some pics but have not seen a zx4 section.
Cheers.

Sounds good to me, not been on here for that long, will put some pics before during and after, and welcome any comments and ideas.
