hi all,
ive had a full set of hein gericke mini arrow clear led indys on my bike for a while, and while i seem to hav sorted the problem of the leds blowing (rain gets in so be sure to sillycunt it before installation, only on the rear though so thank the sweet baby jesus for the undertray!!)
basically, they blink very very very weak, infact so weak you cant see them from a foot away, this is just when the ignition is on.
fire up the baby, and rev the throttle, and they increase in power the more you rev. after a few miles, idle at lights, they are ok....
now, cold or hot, run or not, when i arm or disarm the alarm, they are brighter than a pothead with a great idea!
so, can anyone help me to rectify this little saga, as im getting a new set from gerickes, all metal black, with little amber lights on the back...cool....then i can fit the undertray and led rear lights and off i go!
cheers
andy

not had any experience with LED indys but i have seen in all the shops there's a special little box which you need for LED indys which must be the relay Dubstar mentioned.

first thing i'd check mate is connections. iv had probelms with every indi after a while, contacts corrode from rain, also i live next to the sea which dont help. get a multimeter on it and check for a good continuation. if u say its fine with alarm, do u mena with engine and electrics off? in which case check alternator or aything that could divert power away from the indis.

Go round your bike and wire wool all your earth connections, also sounds like your alarm might be sucking the juice out of your battery too so go round all it's connectors and clean them up and fix them securely.
Hopefully you'll get a bright result from that

Nothing worse than having an H and not being able to scratch it !

will try the wire wool thing, though im pretty sure none of em are corroded, the indy ones on the front arent as i fit them myself and checked them last night whilst inserting new blue iridium bulbs, they are cocooned in leccy tape and still as clean as a preachers bed sheets!
still ill try charging the batt and cleaning contacts hopefully it will help

ill post any details if it doesnt sort em out
