please help headlights wont work?

hi ive just brought my first zxr 400 l1 what a little rocket these bikes are its a jap import rides like a dream only problem is the headlights dont work ive just brought some new halagen bulbs but still nothing checked all the fuses under the seat they are ok but cant seem to sort out the problem all the indicators work fine and so does the rear light i dont have a tester so cant test any voltage at the moment any suggestions ?

more than likely the headlight relay has gone.

left hand side behind the rear panel, small black box.

they are £12 new from cradley, not worth getting a second hand one.

try unplugging the light wiring under the tank and then replugging it in a few times with the lights turned on thaere are a couple of the connecters to do
thats what was wrong with mine the other week
terminals get a bit fusty sometimes with it being damp over winter
