removing tank protector

mine is kinda worn so im after replacing it... only i dont wanna peal away any paint or leave any sticky toad.

are there any methods of doing this or chemicals i could use?

a hair dryer, some patience and a butter knife. to get rid of the leftover glue you can use brake cleaner or petrol, but use a soft cloth so you dont scuff the lacquer. The tanks lacquer is hard wearing two pack so you can abuse with pretty much any chemical you want.

Agreed, but be careful not to pull the protector too hard, if it doesn't want to go use a bit more hairdryer or chemical. The guy that had my bike before me pulled some of the blue tank sticker off when removing the old tank pad.

thanks fellas... I removed it fine using the hairdryer method + some washing up liquid
