retsoration zxr l model

Post by dynamatiz »

hmm now that the winter is on its way, and my baby will be gettin stored away

am looking at tryin to get it in pristine condition for next year , so she come out like new. ive got a 1994 l model zxr that is green /white with purple and pink decals on it, ony thing is it has got a cpl of good scrapes on it and a bit of the right hand side panel is missing of the previous owner

now am considering gettin a new panel or a full re spray but a dont know what to do about it, but i do love the colour ways of my bike

so any ideas guys and also is it worth gettin a full repsray and if so how much for reasonable job ?

Yep i saw your bike a while back and instantly decided i was gonna do a new paint scheme of matt black.

Im currently stripping my panels down and am trying to find some paint stripper for plastic cause i cant be bothered with sanding it down.

paint stripper for plastic? if its std fairings they shouldn't need rubbing down just remove all stickers with a hair dryer and a lot of patience and then key with some very fine sandpaper.

that does look sweet mate... kinda ghost rider-esque

but am lookin at doing sort of like a old rsv mille only green for the best part of it, grey or black border across the bellt pan and a white number panle like racers have on the single seats, keep the wheels green and maybe polish the rims

theres a pic of a yellow one in the coppermine similar to what i have in mind, just cant find one in green

lso a might have a go out polishin my swingarm lol.... a know it gonna be a rock hard job for me to do, do you think a coud get away with not taking it off and doing it????

anyone whos polished a swingarm before any input would be helpful

see the first one i really do like....... but what if you swap the yellow for kwak green ?????

the second one is awesome too i love the race rep theme too it, but its the decals im worried about, getting them and fitting etc, plus a dont know if my guy will or will not be able to do it

so first one is preference and take away my rear hugger, polish the rims and add a kawasaki sticker to the bellypan and ill reckon she ll look stunning
