Fix Fairing?

Post by Wabby »

Hi,

Noticed the other night that the rear lhs fairing has a crack in it (Above where the pillion peg it).

Any ideas on how to repair it / stop it splitting anymore?

I take it you mean plastic coathanger, yeah? :tease

So just take it off, and plastic weld with a coathanger should do the trick? Will give it a bash when she comes back from garage!

a number of people here have done it inthe past, so tried and tested :D

And yes, plastic mate or you could be waiting a while for the soldering iron to melt a steel one :smt003

I'd highly recommend plestex. http://www.plastexexpress.co.uk/plastex_kits.htm if you have several bits that need repairing. I've used it countless times for repairing cracks/broken lugs ect. Is a bit pricey though, might be cheaper on ebay.
