Real Carbon Bits

Post by Tyrant »

I'm thinking of going for a few carbon bits and pieces when I sort out my L1 ZXR's bodywork.
What's available, how much does it cost and where can I get it? :smt003

the bulk of my bits, carbon frame covers, engine covers, mudguards front and rear, came from performance motorcycle parts. The other bits i got from ebay and demon tweeks.

PMP i dont think are running anymore, not last time i tried to look for them anyway (just checked, they arent) , but there are other places to get them im sure. Doesnt seem to be anything in the tuning directory so i guess youll have to wait for some more replies and keep looking. what ever you do find tho, post in the tuning directory for the benefit of all :smt001

So far I've found an instrument surround and yoke cover on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0287461221

There's also a carbon mudguard listed on AMS but no picture. I'm after a front mudguard, rear hugger and a frame protector so will post up if I find somewhere that does them.

nice one mate, i aso have that surround :) theres also a petrol cap cover you can get which i got from demon tweeks. iirc i ordered one for a ZX7R as its the same cap. Good luck with the mudguards, ART(thats who mine are made by) went bust about 3 and a half years ago but there are others out there that make them im sure.

I've just noticed that seller on eBay also has carbon fairing infills and petrol cap covers too.
There's always custom I suppose but then that would be £££!

i know of a company called streamline carbon. they primarily make bits for cars but they might be able to do bits if theres 10 or more orders. might be worth getting in contact with them.
anything is possible with enough time and money. and an open mind...
