ZXR l3 frame

Post by Hellzone »

Does the L3 frame come as standard painted? I've worked quite hard on mine today removing alll the paint, and then polishing and sealing it up, it looks fab, probably need to work a little bit harder to get all the little scratches out but as soon as it's buffed up you can see your reflection in the frame. mmmm yummy :)

If they were all painted, why? and why such an rubbish silver?

What.......? you don't like dull, drab silver that scratches through to black at the merest whiff of contact with anything ???? :smt003

I want to powder coat mine cos its so bad. :smt009¨

Would polish it if I wasn't such a lazy git.

On the contrary I love the paint, I loved it so much i abused it with 40grit sandpaper.. initially.. :P I was so dissappointed after hours of work it finially left the frame.

I think it depended on the fairing colours ......

The green variants had a silver frame, but the solid coloured ones (red and blue) had black frames.

wich IMO looks the best :)

agree with the above.. black frames are cool, my polished one is off to the powder coaters over the winter to be done satin black.. ok this is partly cos im lazy and hate the amount of work required to keep polished ally looking smart..
