I'll take a pic when I get back as my engine is in bits so you can see the tapping for the water off the barrelsWelshD1K wrote:proper confused!!! what am i lookign for if i can fir pre heaters?? ill take pics in morning!

Re: my zxr is making me hate it!!
OK - these three pics should clarify it (I hope)
In effect there are three key issues
1) Does the engine have a collant nipple (pic 2)
2) Are the carbs set up for carb heating (inlet and outlet and joining hoses across the base
3) You need the hose attachement shown in pic three - this is the UK spec and has a take off in the middle for the small flex taking the coolant back from the carbs
Not sure what the inline devices are on the supply and return hoses for the collant to the acrbs but I assume some sort of NRV to prevent crossfolw from fuel to coolant (or vice versa) - or some sort of folw regulator

Apologies for the toad pic of the nipple but it is just between and below inlet 1 and 2 as you look at the engine from behind

Re: my zxr is making me hate it!!
Hi,
The burbling and cutting out could also be condensation from the cold weather. I've just this minute finshed putting my bike back together after a routeen check. Found that my breather pipe has drops of water in it, airbox swimming in water, and 2 HT caps a tad loose.
Regards
Rich
