Hey everyone,
just wanted to say hi as im new to zxrworld.
i have had a zxr400h1 for years now but never had the chance to start work on it, well untill last summer, when i came across this forum i saw some awsome stuff done to to the zxr's for example the H1 restoration project by 'jonb_5', i found that really inspiring to watch and cant wait to see the progress.
anyway, i am having a few issues with my H1.. its mainly bodywork, i.e. i dont have any fairing brackets for the lower left and right. these seem to be very hard to find, could anyone point the newbie in the right direction?
thanks
Mike Apicella

Re: Hi
Hello and welcome to the forum!
Ebay is probably going to be your best bet, keep an eye out in the 'classifieds' section and theres usually a bike up for breaking, will be worth sticking up a wanted ad if you havent already. The other alternative is to fabricate them yourself.

Re: Hi
Cradley will sell you new ones...............
Assuming the bracket you are asking about are the ones at the rear of the fairing below the footpegs. Then making them yourself should be easy....... or..............
I use cable ties to support the fairing on my race bike...........................I see no reason why that shouldn't work for a road bike too

Re: Hi
Hey guys nice to meet you
I have tried eBay many times but constantly fail to find what I need,
the thing is that some of the fairings are cracked causing it dificult to cable tie them together
the fairing brackets I need are the ones infront of where your knee goes and just below the tank
if that helps anyone understand
I could build them at uni in the workshop but I live in Surrey and go to uni inCoventry
which would mean it would probably be a month after
making then before I got home to find out they don't fit, that's knowing my luck anyway
hence buying them would be so much easier...
Any more ideas?
thanks for your help

Re: Hi
cargo im not sure if they still sell fairing brackets for the h model anymore. I know they have discontinued some parts already.
Give cradley a call tho and see what they say, worst case scenario is they cant supply you with them.

Re: Hi
Success! i finally struck gold on fleabay, full set of fairing brackets (from an L but as previously stated by 'Zimm', they should work) came through today, did do the stupid thing of not buying fairing bolts, so now have to wait untill they come through so i can fit them.
on the note of finding parts, does anyone know where i can get the top engine mounting brackets? (I.E. the ones that also mount the radiator to the frame)
I got the fairing brackets from www.tuks.co.uk 's ebay shop by the way. there a kawasaki only breakers so if no one knows of them yet then here you go!
Thanks for your advice guys, I really appreciate it.
