noob again!

Post by R P Corse »

time to introduce myself properly after pondering about on here for the last 3/4 years lol

names Bert, i live in Croydon but originally a Beckenham boy (Kent way!) just bought my second ZXR400 - H1 model, registered in '96! bought her yesterday for £700 and gotta say it was a laugh riding it 50miles home on the motorway in pissing rain! got wheel spin at about 90mph in 5th ... not that i was ringing its neck much! :excited

other than that, things i want to do:

upgrade forks - can 636 forks fit? - will also get the front and rear set up for my riding and weight
upgrade rear suspension - anyone point me in the right direction?
upgrade the brakes - this will be done if i can get 636 forks or equiv. fitted on as well as front wheel
engine work, just a general once over, looking at a K&N air filter just so she can breath a bit better - what i want to know is if there are any bigger carbs that fit? 34/38mm carbs?
body work - general clean up and repair the damaged parts, going to keep it standard though!

and thats pretty much it, i don't want to go too mental on her, but i don't like a bike that isn't set up right, i'm very particular when it comes to setting up the chassis!

yup was confirmed it to be a Nassert? Beet exhaust, ideally would love the carbon one, but i never knew how loud the Beet was til i opened her up today! WOW shocking lol

i prefer the red to the snot green on the H models ... though i do like the green on the L models ... how ever when i come to clean her up i will definitely be going a deeper red i think, Canyon Red like this:

then keep the grey and black, i think it would look really nice imo, its not too different to the standard red, but i think deepening it a bit will really make the bike stand out, spesh with a touch of carbon fiber
