I have a ZXR400L SP model minus the SP engine, when I raced it, it had a tuned engine with Kent adjustable cams, I am not sure on its exact specification. The engine went wrong and as I was no longer racing I had the engine repaired at the local motor bike repairers, this was several years ago and the engine has never been run. I am near to firing it into life fingers crossed, but something has got me thinking ! The repaired engine is a bit of a mix match from memory it now has a standard head, valves , one standard cam and one Kent adjustable on the inlet. The main concern is if the engine runs ok how will it match the SP CDI and rotor ? I believe the RPM is 15300, will I damage the engine if I rev it to this or not possible ?
Hope this makes sense, thank you.
Lack of knowledge
There seems to be more and more members appearing that are racing the ZXR400 so i've created a special section just for you to show off results, discuss meets etc etc.
