Well it was my first rac ever at Pembrey on Saturday. Started off at a snails pace lapping at 1:29. By the time of my last race I got down to a 1:18, which althought is not super fast is an improvement on 1:29!!
First race me and another novice started 50yrds back from the last grid line as we were unaware there were two sets of grids!!!
nd race was my best with me getting a good start and pulling 6 places into Hatchetts hairpin!! Finished last but sixth which was 5 places better than my aim!, Oh and got my knee down!!
Got the bug now and need to make my bike faster on the straights as its only standard. Anyone thinking of startiing racing go for it, what a rush
See yall

Hi Simon,
Just back online after a while, hoping to get under 1min 10sec within 1year. getting some tuition (try harder!) of Danny Imberg, but my gearing was standard and front forks wee leaking! (after just being rebuilt)
Pembrey again on 8th July, 1min 15 the aim!!
Spk soon

Re: First Race!!
Get out there, I raced again on 16/9 and got down to a 1:16 with a misfire!!!
I did three track days in the slow group and thought I may as well learn whilst racing.
Doing a trackday on 12th Nov at Donny with no limits.
Scrutineering was daunting, but bike got through OK, from what I recall they did not check engine/frame no's. As long as they havent been butchered off I think they are ok?
Cheers
