de-restriction help!!

opened up the clock of my zx400g and removed the metal tab thing but still wont rev past 10k revs, any ideas anyone??

I'm not sure if the zx400g can use the same type of CDI as the zxr400, that that looks like the import CDI from a zxr400.

If you can, borrow a blue stickered "M" CDI to test it.
I dont think it will blow anything up.

i dont no anyone wit one, just wondering does it have to b derestricted using the 10 ohm resistor like the zxr's??
