if think to take on a project u also need to set achievable timescales and targets to get each element done - money allowing

otherwise it will drag on, u will start to lose interest and motivation and ultimately it will stay a box of nuts and bolts if u arent careful

everyone likes what they own. I used to loathe the bubble shape rs125, but then my second rs125 was one of them and suddenly I liked them. I like the L over the H though because its sleeker I think, the little things I don't like on the H are the shock reservoir sticking out and the tubes into the tank.

Never really liked them much but they have been growing on me lately! Only thing im not keen on is the styling and the swingarm is cluttered, thats about it.

for me they look boxy the back end looks dated to (thats cos they are dated i know) i guess you like it or you dont but the L model considerin it was designed early 90's still fits in with modern bikes, my mates were stunned to find my bike was a K reg.

rene, if you are thinking of dropping a different engine into the frame stick with an L, the frame spars run lower on the H which means you will HAVE to nibble away at the inside of both spars to get the head to fit between them. either that or the engine will be sat VERY VERY low.. and probably hit the front wheel too.

also the H's have a cross brace behind the headstock which im pretty sure will be right in the way when it comes to fabbing up an airbox, L's dont have this as the frame spars themselves are stronger.

if i've read this wrong and you just want a cheap bike to build up and hack about on, then yeh H's are awesome little bikes, far more neutral feeling than the L which feels *almost* cumbersome in comparison (but then, im tiny)

if I was looking for another one for the road it would be an H, but i'll stick with my L5 as its intended (eventually) for the track and rearsets/ram air stuff etc is more available

I wouldent mind paying top dollar for the bike if i wasent intending to do a engine conversion on it. If i was to keep the bike 400cc id happly pay £1,500 for it and have it minter, but as it is i think it would be better to get a nail. Not only for cost but also i wont be lobing away perfectly usable parts, not to mention if it all goes tits up i wont be losing out quite as much :smt002

thanks for point out the problems with the H frame as well, i was worried about the same thing looks like i'll have to keep on looking for a nice L :smt013
