Re: got the email - thought id pop back
hi, same for me, got the mail. been busy lately tryin to start my own business so i'm workin a lot more than i'm used to, lol. my zxr400 took ill in june so i bought a new bandit 650, needed somethin reliable to take me to knockhill and back. its a lot more comfortable than the 400 which is sitting in the back garden covered in cobwebs with a light coverin of sand and cement dust. i was goin to scrap it but decided to turn it into a track bike. she still runs but not too well. haven't been out much lately but had an excellent run last sunday. its a yearly event run by the club i'm a member of in aid of macmillan cancer. 175 bikes left the coach car park in banbridge at 2.15 pm and done a quick run round the co. down coast and back to banbridge at 4 pm for tea and sandwiches in the council offices. we raised over £1100 for the charity and everybody enjoyed the run, apart from the one poor sod who hit a bridge. he was ok thankfully and the bike was still rideable.

Re: got the email - thought id pop back
hi, decided to keep it, its too good to scrap so its goin to be a track bike. i have a few bits an pieces spare i'll have a look at that section an get them off to you. thery're in the shed which is a no go area at the minute, liable to have the entire contents on top of me if i open the door. nearly finished the garage so it'll be opened then an emptied out, i'll post out anythin i have.

Re: got the email - thought id pop back
Prob something to do with the fact that every time me and my mate go out we get quicker on our favourite stretch of road but the down side is everytime we get quicker we also get closer to death lol! so thats the reason that im going to do as much track riding as pos for next year and try calm it down on the roadsmasterofinsanity wrote:why is everyone taking their bikes to the track??

Re: got the email - thought id pop back
dunno about over there but the roads over are gettin into a really dangerous state. some of the pot holes are that big you'd need to sound your horn on the way out, lol. it is gettin dangerous here, too many roadworks and the repairs aren't good to say the least. nobody seems to watch out for bikes anymore, its been a record year here for bike fatalities. a lot of the lads i know are sellin the road bikes an takin up track days, its safer.
