hey chaps got the email and thought id let you know what ive been up to.i havent really used the bike for the last few months its been put to one side for now as ive been playing with my new toy its a mk4 golf gti 1.8 20v just been sorting out a few bits and bobs on it. Still got the zxr and have a few plans for it over the winter months think iam gonner do my wheels again as i ran short of paint when i last did them and the color had been discontinued by bnq thats what you get for buying the paint and leaving it a year before you paint them lol. And new head bearings as the front end feels a bit knockey when you hit a few bumps oh and iam gonner get to the bottom of my front brake problem the leaver wont pump up properly its been like this since i had the bike. Even used a proper bleeding pump the mitty vac one and still had no joy i think it must be down to the master cylinder. ill have to make a post on how to bleed brakes and my findings because i know of a few people on here thats had problems with bleeding them. But before i work on the bike iam having a new shed iam not working in the shed ive got now i had the engine out of my bike at the start of this year in a shed no wider than 4.5 foot how the hell i did it i dont know i was having to use really small screw drivers to get bits off any way hope i havent bored you lot too much
thanks kev oh yeah heres a pic of my new toy

your shed aint no wider than mine mate, bummer aint it when you have to work on the bike, thats why mines taken soo long cos i have to drag the bike out to work on it and with the appalling weather we've had this year its got held up a bit.Nice motor by the way! i had a mk3 gti, bloody quick and handle well!deffo do a write up on bleeding the brakes and i'll add it to the workshop.
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.
yeah the golf is heavy i read some where that the mk4 is 42% heavier than the mk 1 gti thats massive its not a bad car tho still pulls well on the motorway .Thats onther thing why the bikes been put to one side this year was the crap weather that we had this summer its a bit dis hearting when you spend all that time and money and then you cant use it :smt013.heres a pic of my bike in the cubby hole .... i mean shed lol ...... top parents tho let me put old carpet in my bedroom and striped all the top end out up there rite in front of a nice warm radiator..oh yeah i was thinking of getting the swing arm powder coated as i made a rite mess of it with a paddock stand
