Did my CBT today, and wasnt that the easiest bit of riding ever.
Went really well, was done quite early and the instructor was impressed because usually they only manage to do 9-12 miles on a CBT whereas we did 32 miles... Took me all round the lanes for some fun (as much as a CB125 offers) and it was alright as it goes, only a few little niggles like 1 out of 5 U turns I'd put my foot down and I locked up on emergancy stops a couple of times. The instructor said that I could get away with 2 days training including test but said to do 3 so that i'm practically guarateed to pass.
So went to their office (over at P&H motorcycles) and spoke to their guy, they matched the price of the other local school (bike smart) and works out £321 for two full days training, half day training before test and test. Also included is bike and gear hire and insurance waver. I broke it down and works out at £87 a day (acting at it being 3 days affectively) and the instructor told me he gets paid £80.. so they really have scraped the barrel for me.. so I'm a happy chappy today.
Cheers

Re: CBT today
yep was lashing it down today and rather windy as well.
I didnt think and overslept so went out in my converse trainers and they didnt have boots in my size.. so went out in the pissing rain with SOAKED feet and on the 32 miles went through some flooded roads and had to lift my feet up bloody high to not get them submursed.
I got back and actually poored the water out of my shoes.. it was just plain wrong.
Cheers

Re: CBT today
CBT is quite honestly the easiest thing ive ever done in my life. "ok, yep, you can ride the bike at an OK standard, passed."
You'll really learn alot with your instructor, if you get a good one like i did, it will be a very very enjoyable experiance. Good luck!!
