Clicking noise sounds like i duff battery. Personally i would get a day off work, strip the bodywork so you can get to all the wiring connectors and take everyone apart to make sure theres no water in there. Also get the switch gear apart and see if theres water in there. Might wanna check the fuse box too, headlight fuse may have blown.

if your sure the battary is fine get the bike started and check the voltage over the battary while its running.

rev the bike a bit if it goes over 16v ish then your rectifer is gone

The headlight problem sounds liek what Leanne_zxr had, she never did get to the bottom of what the cause was.

If you have a multimeter which i think you have actually, trace back the headlight wiring till you get a voltage. Might have gotten water in the carbs maybe?

new regulator is what you need. It lives just infront of the battery (engine side).. ams would be a good place to start looking as its a pretty common thing on them.
cheers

hi mate when its not starting are the ignition lights on does it turn over? also i would clean the battery earth with wire wool and grease it and same with the bullet conecter earth~(yellow and black) near the battery if it still doesnt help then get your multi meter and test the head light relay or junction box then move on to the handle bar switches till you find it
