saw this bike for sale.

Post by Brett »

I just saw this whilst browsing mcn.

http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/bikes ... 02440&mfy=

It looks like a v nice bike at a very good price, although I'm sure most of you know I have no idea.

Is this a fair price, it seems like a sweet bike?

I'm not after buying it as I have a bike, but am just curious.

tis indeed mine .. he just hasnt taken the ad off .. lol

and it wasnt worth £950 .. !! (not that i paid that much, and i probably paid a bit much)

if it hadnt had a blown head-gasket, a poorly assembled engine, mismatched tyres, scabby frame, leaky fork-seal,clapped out rear shock and an almost shot chain I'd have said its worth a £1000 to £1200 as the bodywork is really good nick with almost no damage and a nicely done respray.

however thats all fixed now, she's done herself (and me) proud at pembrey circuit (that a 750 mate ?), rev's to a touch over 15,000rpm (H1 cdi .. ahh) and put 140mph on the clock while bouncing off the limiter yesterday whilst hacking round wales :) (14/45 gearing)

re the styling, obviously its all subjective, but i prefer the H to the L, its just a bit more aggressively styled than the more streamlined L and the screen keeps the wind off you better. (the bodywork will most likely be for sale soon as its going to be a track bike as soon as my other one is finished and i can find some pattern H style panels)

handles nicer too, not as "sharp and pointy" as an L, but somehow more balanced

I was interested as I'm thinking about selling mine and getting a later model. I'll get round to posting a pic and see what you all think it's worth.
