Hmm... I took 'bikes and babes' to mean sexy women on bikes - not full-on naked mechaphiles with their flaps all over the tank and stuff?

The pic I posted of the lovely Aprilia Falco/Mille (and Kirsty is there somewhere) I doubt would be found offensive by many people?

I never saw the word 'naked' anywhere - let alone 'pornographic'. :smt017

Of course, if there are any pictures of bare chested males being posted, there's no reason why the women should have to be clothed on their tops. Tits is tits, and equal rights for women!!!

lol, dude i have a mind of my own rest assured. :smt003 And i love titties mate, believe you me i love titties!

Jamz has made a fair point, if us gents can have a mens section, why not a ladies section to keep it fair?

Dunno if anyone used to read PB before it got its revamp a few years ago, but it used to be lashed with birds on bikes and tits everywhere. Dunno about anyone else but i felt more like i was reading a copy of zoo/nuts magazine. Which to me are all w****ers mags and would never go and read.

I think its inapropriate. Like i said, if you wanna look at that birds on bikes, theres an entire internet filled with it.

Why is swearing censored, but you think we should have tits all over the place?
i don't think, i was asking peoples oppinions, sweraing is censored but can be turned on & off in your own profiles to your own discretion
deviant wrote:Or to put it another way, why are we not supposed to write c*nt but I can go and download pictures of them from another area of the forum?.
i presume you mean the lads only thread? good point! i need to look at permissions on that!

personally i reckon bikes and babes section will just makes the gap between men and us few woman bikers greater? Meaning that new comers to the forum - if female could be put off if its appears that this is a mainly bloke site with bloke views....and not really a place for us females to come and ask stuff... hard enough as a female to mix in this enviroment anyways sometimes...Or have a female section too...but then like masters says there aint many females using the site at present...so probably be a waste of time..Anyways that my bit said...If im talkin crap just ignore the above lol :smt001

its mainly a blokes site because of lack of women riders isn't it or are the women just power hungry and go for bigger bikes?

Just saying that maybe some lasses get put off forums by the bloke type things, pics of boobs etc,.. and the attitude some have towards us female bikers..

agree with what you say Lindaloo and i will moderate the site as much as i always have to allow the female riders amongst us feel at home here as much as the blokes, ie if there was a male section it could be a hidden forum whereas only seen by the male members.at the end of the day i had no plans to make a male only section yes there are a couple of threads i know but they are marked as such and it is down to individual members to view or not to view.Just a couple of forums i use have such forum sections and i wondered what the opinions were here. Now i know.

Why not just have an anything goes section? Obv would have to be granted access to enter.

[quote="masterofinsanity"]

thats why i asked first, but i think there are 2 female members that actually use the forum regularly ie lindaloo, Caz and occasionally wonderpups

any comments girls?[quote]

Don't I count?? :smt010 :smt010 :smt010

I accept that bikes and babes kinda go together, and it doesnt really bother me. I have a great time at bike shows watching all the blokes gawping at the half naked girls there.
But that aside - I think there's a time and a place for it and I dont feel that bike forums such as this are it. For example, I dont buy superbike magazine because I want to read about bikes - i dont want to look at half naked girls.
I personally think that the addition of something like that is pretty trashy. It doesnt add any value, and there's already plenty of it on the net anyway. It is also probably not a particularly work safe section

As I said, it doenst really bother me - I can choose what threads and so on to read, and which ones not to. But it may put other people off
