Around £800, although I could get my girlfriend to chat up her grandad to lend me an extra £200, but would rather not as I'm so poor at present. The same place I nearly got the rgv off have a 1984 gpz900 for £795, but I'm obviously reluctant to go there.

I need something with mot if poss. I was looking at this on e-bay and had my friend e-mail him as I dont have an account.

http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/bikes ... 06349&mfy=

Looks like I'm gonna have to join the 21st century and try and open an account.

Also - bidding on a bike on Ebay for the first time -

EMAIL THE SELLER!!!

Most people selling vehicles on there will have had some rotten twatbag with no feedback win their item, only to never hear from them and have to re-list it!

I had one bidding on my VFR750, so emailed him asking for name and address etc to show he was genuine. I never heard back, and he upped his bid again.

Bid cancelled by me - end of discussion.

I've been pissed around too much on Ebay to take chances with that stuff anymore.

I've had my mate e-mail two sellers on my behalf. One of them the auction had ended well below what the bike was worth with no sale, but neither of them got back to me. Gave phone number etc....
I don't understand the whole ebay thing. If I was to open an account, could I, if I wanted to, just pretend to bid on stuff then not buy it? I ask this as, as you all know, there are many many cockheads who use the net for nothing more than to wind people up/annoy people. I had to try to explain to my girlfriends Gran the other day about viruses, she got so confused saying "why on earth would someone try and break your computer, unless you'd done something to hurt them?". Anyway, back to e-bay, I know you have some sort of rating, but does this stop you bidding if it's bad?

That Brett, always with the questions, he doesn't even own a zxr any more?
