i was gonna get my lad one for xmas but decided not to as they are recommended for 14 years upwards and i think at 7 he would hurt himself seriously.

Yeah, kids that age only know full throttle. I remember me bro drove an old moped of mine up our garden once, and he kept going up the yard and then BANG! Into the back of the house he went, luckily he didnt go through the back window.
Incidentally me mate has just swapped his crashed ZX6 for two minimotos, then got another one for christmas the lucky git.

Re: Mini Moto
i fixed my mates one the other day after he tried to get it started with 2 year old petrol/oil mix the carb was in a fairly bad state to say the least...Striped the carb down and it was so cheap and nasty it was unleaveable still after 12mins of carb cleaner, new petrol and bolting it back togeather it runs good as new. Pit bikes are 10x the fun tho.

Re: Mini Moto
bought mine from new and its never been run, sat in my shed for 12 months or so, had it fired up a couple of times but it just died as soon as u gave it any throttle, been stood a while now so will no doubt be gummed up.

Re: Mini Moto
did someone mention drunken minimoto riding? Down a muddy french single track road with no protective gear on. With a 6'4" rider? With the engine running on vegetable oil because noone had any 2T oil?

Actually I at least had jeans and bike boots on. Plus I didn't crash it. Unlike one of my mates who managed to get into a terminal tankslapper at about 3mph in shorts and flip flops and take a couple of big chunks out of his leg. D'oh.
