hoses

Post by stef »

Hi,

Anyone got any pics of samcos or in general silicone hoses fitted to their bike?

Doing the coolant this weekend, hoses have never been changed so thought i might as well be a tart and waste some money.

Anyone know which hoses are included in the samco kit? Cant find any pics.

cheers

make sure you get the right ones tho dude.
they differ on the H and L, one goes to the left of the engine to the rad, the other to the right. Not sure which model is which tho. Ive got a 6r rad on mine, which i think is routed same as the L.(to the left)

Cheers guys, ordered em, that race bike bitz place is only 15 mile away or so, will pick them up thursday or friday.

Any downsides to running without a thermostat other than it taking longer to warm up?

Need to test it so if its fubared i'll be waiting on a new one.

cheers.

without a thermostat it'll take an age to get up to temp, then run cold as soon as you start riding unless you are either caning the living toad out of it and never letting the revs drop below 10k, or you gaffa tape up half the radiator.

it'll be fine for a test run, but generally better with one in.
