I have got to say, they are very very good, and I am very impressed with this, such a simple desing, and work so very very well, I would definitely advise getting one, if you need to re jet or check carb balance etc, definitely a worthwhile peice of kit, even at £30

Re: colortune
how does the colourtune check your carb balance? i thought it just gave an indication to your mixture?
Don't forget people there is more to the zxr400 than this forum... check out www.zxrworld.co.uk also.

Hi,
I think steve means that you can balance the mixtures, not the carbs... right?
My bro had 1 of these kits for his TZR125, decent piece of kit indeed! Basically you replace any spark plug(depending on the cylinder you're tuning) with this special glass 1, when you look down into the combustion chamber, you can see the colour of the flame that is burning. You then get this colour chart and match the colour of the flame with the chart. Say like the flame is too dark against the chart, you then adjust the mixture on that carburettor to get the colour perfect or something like that. Was a long time ago when I saw my bro use 1.
Regards
Rich

Re: colortune
GET A WIDEBAND OXYGEN SENSOR !!!!
colour tune is for balancing twin SU carbs and other such things. No good for mixtures on a bike above idle. Now that the common man can obtain wideband units they are the best option....cheers
