i bought cheap tools cos i didnt have the cash, very quickly got fed up with the shite quality - so chucked em in the bin and bought better ones. Ended up even worse off than if I had bought good ones to start with :wanker

bit of a tool snob now, only get good quality stuff - well worth the extra IMO

Baz, I've actually got that exact set I think, bought it two years ago from Argos and the ratchet lasted a month, the 17mm socket cracked about 6 months ago but everything else is okay.

You pays yer money... tell you what though, cheap as chips, never rounded anything off (without losing temper and hitting it :smt013 ) and apart from £10 for a ratchet and £2.50 for a 17mm socket they are still my main set, cant be bad. I'm now on my 4th or 5th restoration/rebuild so they havent had an easy life either. I can also testify that the 24mm socket on the end of a breaker bar and scaffold pole will lift the back end of a mini (when trying to undo a towbar bracket) if you try hard enough without breaking :smt003

Must admit to looking longingly at snap-on, teng etc etc tho!!
