Re: FINE
I hear u on that one davw emergency breaking in this weather u might aswell just throw the bike to the tarmac.
Saying that tho my KLR is incredible under emergency breaking as ive slammed on loads of times and never had the back end lock up *touch wood*
But yeah pedestrians are a huge liability almost took out a young couple a few weeks back when i was filtering on my way to work and they stepped out from infront of a car saw me coming and jumped out the way like a pair of scolded cats, hey really do need to pay more attention.
Was on my way to hacking kawasaki to pick sum parts up today and had sum woman just walk diagonally across me but didnt even look at what was behind her, the road was empty on the other side so i decided id shoot past about a foot from her and rev the f**k out of it to s**t her up, safe to say i dont think she'll be doing it again.

If it's broke spray it with WD40, if it's still broke spray it again and leave it over night, if it's still broke, bin it.

Re: FINE
Always fancied running mine open pipe just to see what it'd sound like, but bearing in mind that mine has a tendancy to wake my dad up when i cm home at midnight from work with just a straight through micron system i darent try it just yet :p
Might fire it up one weekday lunch time so no one can complain of ridiculously loud revving at ridiculous times
Is there nothing to add to it to run it with an open pipe? Or do u just need some earplugs to stop ur ears bleeding?

Re: FINE
Ahhh well cba then :p
Will be far too loud anyway and really dont want the feds pulling me over every 5 minutes cuz its so loud. Plus i'd end up having to push it home a mile everynight otherwise i'll wake up to find out one of the neighbors has set the garage alight to shut it up

Re: FINE
i rode my vfr for a few days without an end can on it, cos it fell off, and i needed to use the bike.
it was ear peircingly loud, especially at 13,000rpm.
even with ear plugs in it would sometimes hurt.
good fun tho.
but does deffo get you noticed.
(excuse the 3 lines, were for somethings else)

Re: FINE
you cant get 3 points for a loud can, however loud it is.
The TLR will set car alarms off from a fair distance, multistory car parks are a right laugh!

Re: FINE
This thread just got me thinking about what the Hell is on my new 9r...
I can see it's titanium, but has no name or anything on it. It looks like pretty high quality stuff, but in a tidy and discreet way... All that is on the can is an embossed SBK.
So after a quick search it seems I've got a LeoVince SBK titanium race can, which are so bloody expensive nobody seems to want to give you the prices!
I'm chuffed to bits!
I shall have to have a closer look to see if it's the full system that's on there... The downpipes do yook amazingly clean for 17k miles...
